Nathan and Christina Thomas are living testimonies of the restoring power of Jesus Christ. Their story is one of redemption, forgiveness, and the life-changing power of the Gospel.
A Promise in the Dark
Nathan's journey began in one of the darkest seasons of his life. While in prison because of drug addiction, he cried out to God in desperation and made a simple but life-changing promise: 'Lord, if You will restore my family, I will serve You.' At that moment, he had no idea what God was preparing to do.
Twelve Years Apart
Nathan and Christina had been separated for twelve years. During that time, Christina experienced a radical encounter with the presence of God. She was touched by the fire of God and completely set free from drug addiction and homosexuality. As the Lord transformed her life, He spoke clearly to her heart and told her to return to her husband.
Obedience Before the Answer
At the time, Nathan was still in prison and still bound by addiction. In obedience to the Lord, Christina moved to Tampa, Florida, to attend Bible college. While there, God began revealing His plan to restore their marriage and showed her that Nathan would become a mighty man of God, even though he was still incarcerated.
Made New
When Nathan was released from prison, everything changed. He had a powerful encounter with the fire of God that completely transformed his life. The chains of addiction were broken, and he was radically saved, delivered, and made new by the power of Jesus Christ.
Will You Go?
While attending Bible school together, the Lord placed a burning vision in their hearts. God spoke to Nathan, saying that He was looking for someone who would feed His people and asked, 'Will you go?' Their answer was an unwavering 'Yes.'

Out of that call, River Church West Georgia was born.
Still Restoring Today
Today, Nathan and Christina are passionate about seeing people encounter the presence and power of God. Their mission is to reach West Georgia with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, see lives transformed, families restored, and those bound by addiction and sin set free through the power of the Holy Spirit. They believe the same God who restored their lives is still restoring people today, and they are committed to raising up a church that burns with the fire of God and boldly proclaims the uncompromised Word of God.
